Mobility Workshops

Indiana National Guard Mobility Workshops are specialized, technical training events designed to prepare Unit Movement Officers (UMOs) and Container Control Officers (CCOs) for the complex demands of unit deployment and redeployment operations. Mobility Workshops ensure that Indiana's mobility officers possess the technical expertise required to seamlessly transition units from home station armories to any theater of operations worldwide.

Course Benefits

  • Heavy emphasis on structural compliance, container accountability and overall mobilization readiness
  • Comprehensive training on the Command Deployment Discipline Program (CDDP) inspection guidelines to identify and correct movement deficiencies to mitigate impact to missions
  • Training in standardized container management, crucial for tracing and securing cargo globally
  • Compilation and maintenance of a robust, inspection-ready Mobilization Binder containing all essential load plans, hazardous material (HAZMAT) certifications, and convoy documentation

Curriculum Focus

  • Rapid, compliant and safe transport of military personnel and equipment
  • Hands-on instruction in critical systems and regulations governing tactical movement
  • Managing and updating Organizational Equipment Lists (OELs) and generating accurate shipping data using the Transportation Coordinators’ Automated Information for Movements System II (TC-AIMS II)
  • Mastering computerized load planning for multi-modal transport, including military and commercial air, rail and highway assets

About J4 Logistics

The Indiana National Guard Directorate of Logistics (J4) provides policy guidance, resource management, supply and services support, property accountability oversight, mobilization assistance and maintenance support to INNG units in accordance with priorities of the Adjutant General to enable mission accomplishment when our soldiers and airmen are called upon by the state of Indiana or the Nation. We work with units to increase readiness while maintaining and seeking out additional resources to improve the state’s logistics posture.
