Leaders have a wide selection of venues from which to plan realistic and intensive training programs, including at Muscatatuck Training Center, which hosts the DOD's largest urban training facility, and the Bowden Drop Zone, one of the longest personnel drop zones east of the Mississippi River.
Atterbury-Muscatatuck also has Live Fire Shoot Houses, Breach Houses, multiple small village/MOUT* sites, an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) Defeat Lane, and an Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) launch and recovery area with a paved 1,800-foot runway.
