Joint Simulation Training Exercise Center (JSTEC)

The JSTEC provides space capable of supporting large-scale exercises, major simulations, mobilizations, homeland security training and other large training events.

The facility consists of eight buildings comprising approximately 80,000 sq. ft. of indoor training space. The 25,000 sq. ft. main building serves as the exercise control space for major simulations exercises. The remaining buildings are flexible and configurable to meet individual unit training needs. The facility has ample command post pads that are digitally connected to the simulations network infrastructure and can support multiple divisions and brigades simultaneously.

In addition to a robust network protected distribution system for classified exercises, the site has a dedicated JTEN 2.0 node which allows digital connectivity to exercises throughout the world.

Distributive Operations Capabilities

The Camp Atterbury Joint Maneuver Training Center (CAJMTC) can participate in distributed training events located at any JMTC site throughout the world with capabilities that provide collective simulation and gaming-based training exercises capable of replicating complex, operational environments.

This robust simulations capability includes a 25-acre Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations (TADSS) complex; approximately 10,000 square foot Training Support Center (TSC); and a 25-acre Joint Simulations, Training and Exercise Center (JSTEC) with Army National Guard Mission Training Complex (MTC).

Joint Information Operations (IO) Range

The Joint IO Range allows users unlimited potential configurations to test, train, evaluate and develop computer network operations, electronic warfare, military deception, operations security and psychological operations in a 21st century urban environment. Users can create events to assess new technologies and systems integration in the cyber and information operations domains and conduct persistent data collection and analysis.

Joint Mission Environment Test Capabilities (JMETC)

Connectivity through the JTEN 2.0 network provides DoD users with the ability to conduct distributed test and evaluation (T&E) events. JMETC delivers a test infrastructure consisting of the components necessary to conduct joint distributed test events by cost-effectively integrating live, virtual and constructive (LVC) test resources that are configured to support the users' needs.

Joint National Training Capability (JNTC)

Atterbury-Muscatatuck was site-certified as a Joint National Training Capability in 2011, and is currently undergoing the recertification process. We routinely host small- to large-scale joint programs with users interoperating effectively in a realistic training environment.
