INDOT is proposing the construction of two roundabouts in Madison County. The purpose of this project is to reduce the number of right-angle crashes while maintaining or increasing traffic flow. The first roundabout is at the intersection of S.R. 13 and Strawtown Avenue/8th Street near Perkinsville. Construction is expected to begin in the spring/summer of 2026 and be complete in the fall of 2026. The second roundabout is at the intersection of S.R. 37/S.R. 13 and S.R. 128/296th Street near Elwood. Construction is expected to begin in the spring/summer of 2027 and be complete in the summer/fall of 2027.
