Corridor Development also coordinates with and provides technical support to INDOT’s six Districts, Executive Office, Project Management, engineering consultants, the 14 metropolitan planning organizations in the state, economic development initiatives, and others. Select major projects also have Corridor Development involvement and coordination through the development stage on an as-needed basis. The Office serves as INDOT’s subject matter experts on various topics such as NPMRDS speed data and traffic analysis and simulation methodology and software including the Highway Capacity Manual and Highway Capacity Software, Synchro Traffic Analysis Software, SIDRA Intersection, and PTV Vissim Traffic Simulation Software.
