The C.R. 900 N/Lafayette Center Road reconstruction project, which began in March 2016 and was completed in Fall 2018, was 20 years in the making. The $19.1 million project between U.S. 24 in Huntington County to Fogwell Parkway in Allen County included widening the road from two to four lanes, adding a center turn lane and paved shoulders, roadside ditching, a new grade-separated railroad crossing, widening of two existing bridges, upgraded traffic signals, and intersection improvements.
The project used funds from Major Moves 2020 and improved capacity and mobility, reduce delays and provide a safer corridor to foster economic vitality and growth.
