The Indiana Department of Transportation developed a draft Carbon Reduction Strategy (CRS) in December 2022. Based on the public comments, an updated draft was published in June 2023. Following the guidelines set out by the federal government in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the CRS lays out Indiana's context and action plan for reducing on-road carbon emissions.
