- Alert: Monroe Lake High Water Conditions
Heavy rainfall has raised Monroe Lake to high-water levels, affecting several recreation facilities. Beaches will remain closed until the water recedes, but boat ramps are currently open. The following campsites are closed until at least mid‑June: Paynetown Non‑Electric Sites P5–P18, P20, P22, P24, P39, P41–P51, plus Twin Oaks Shelter and Paynetown Shelter. Guests with reservations will be contacted and fully refunded. For detailed updates, visit the Monroe Lake Facebook page or contact the park office. - BLUE-GREEN ALGAE: Found in lakes year round.
