The Randolph County Airport has recently undergone the construction of a new runway on a new alignment south of the previous runway, the conversion of a portion of the previous runway to a new parallel taxiway, and extending the parallel taxiway to the full length of the new runway. Runway 8-26 is 4300 feet in length and 75 feet in width. The project included obstruction removal, excavation, grading, new pavement, surface and subsurface drainage, runway lighting with vault construction, navigational aids, and pavement marking. The runway will now allow for safer operations by reducing or eliminating obstructions and reducing potential conflicts of aircraft on the ground.
