Day Reporting is an alternative sentencing program for eligible offenders administered by the Community Corrections department. Under this program, offenders are released from Jail as a Pre Sentence or Post Sentence clients and they have the opportunity to work, live at home and be available to continue family responsibilities.
Day Reporting is a less restrictive program than home detention.
The Community Corrections Department meets with clients and schedules authorized events (such as medical appointments, self-help meetings, counseling, etc.). All appointments must be verified with documentation. Clients may be required to report/contact the office/case manager daily. As compliance and clean drug screens are provided, the client may have the opportunity to "step down" and reporting obligations could lessen. If non-compliance with the program takes place then the client could be "stepped up" for more accountability and reporting time to the office.
