Indiana Bicentennial Torch Relay Kick Off
The Indiana Bicentennial Torch Relay Kick Off was held on September 9, 2016. It was from there that the torch began its 3,200-mile journey through all 92 counties. The Kick Off began with a ceremony in Corydon, the state's first capital. Several dignitaries attended as well as students from local schools. Musicians and reenactors added to the day's festivites. Former First Lady Judy O'Bannon was the first of 2,245 torchbearers to carry the torch.
