Statehood Day 2016
On Friday, December 9, 2016, 500 4th grade students celebrated Indiana’s Statehood at the Indiana Statehouse. Another 1,200 gathered at the Indiana State Library, Indiana State Museum and Indiana Historical Society. The students visited booths to get their “passport” stamped and learn about different state agencies.
Celebrate Indiana: Ignite the Future
On Sunday, December 11, 2016, Hoosiers joined together inside the Indiana Farmers Coliseum to celebrate Indiana's 200th birthday. "Celebrate Indiana: Ignite the Future" was an once-in-a-lifetime event serving as the finale of the year-long Bicentennial celebration.
