Bicentennial Barn Quilt Unveiling
On February 26, 2016 First Lady and Bicentennial Ambassador Karen Pence unveiled a Bicentennial quilt. The Indiana Barn Foundation commissioned the quilters across the state to create the quilt, which features 92 squares depicting a traditional barn from each Indiana county. After the unveiling, the quilt began a year-long display tour around the state as part of Indiana Bicentennial celebration.
