Purdue Polytechnic Institute - New Albany

Purdue's technology courses are taught at the Purdue Polytechnic Institute's (previously named the College of Technology) classrooms and laboratories in the Purdue Technology Center of Southeast Indiana. This state-of-the-art facility is located at the southeast corner of the I-265 and Charlestown Road interchange in New Albany.

Students at New Albany complete the same coursework as students attending Purdue's main campus in West Lafayette. All technical courses in New Albany are delivered by fully credentialed Purdue faculty, and graduates earn a Purdue University diploma and receive a Purdue University transcript.

Ivy Tech is Indiana’s only full-fledged community college, offering more than 150 programs in the divisions of Health, Technology, Business & Public Services, and University/Transfer (and offering more than 100 transfer programs with in-state and out-of-state schools). Ivy Tech has become the largest public postsecondary institution in Indiana—and the largest singly-accredited statewide community college system in the entire country.

New Albany - Floyd County School Corporation

The New Albany-Floyd County Consolidated School Corporation is a public school district and has operated as a separate governmental unit since 1956.

Always one of Indiana’s most dynamic and innovative school systems, the New Albany-Floyd County Consolidated School Corporation became the first combined city-county school corporation in Indiana when the community’s two school systems consolidated in 1956. New Albany-Floyd County Consolidated School Corporation provides a comprehensive educational program that encompasses nine elementary schools, three middle schools, two high schools, an area vocational school, and alternative school programs.

Indiana College Value Index

Recently, the Indiana Commission for Higher Education along with USA Funds and the Indiana Youth Institute unveiled the Indiana College Value Index.

The Indiana College Value Index is a statewide and campus-by-campus measure of the benefits and outcomes of postsecondary education.

The index looks to provide a more complete view of higher education outcomes for students and the state by allowing individuals and families to view college-value profiles for all Indiana public colleges.
