Notice of Closure or Elimination of Service Lines
Behavioral Health Service Line Closure at Ascension St. Vincent Warrick
July 6, 2026
Ascension St. Vincent Warrick will discontinue its behavioral health service line, including the Inpatient Serenity Unit and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), effective Aug. 28, 2026. The Serenity Unit, a 10-bed facility for senior patients needing psychiatric care, and the IOP, serving adults 55 and older, will both cease operations.
All current and incoming patients will continue to receive care until they are safely discharged. The hospital is working closely with regional partners to ensure smooth transitions and ongoing access to behavioral health services. Support and referrals will be provided to patients and families throughout this process.
Ascension St. Vincent Warrick has confirmed to IDOH that it remains committed to the health and well-being of the community and will prioritize dignified, accessible care during this transition.
