Apply NowIndiana State Police Volunteer Police Chaplains provide emotional and spiritual support and assistance to ISP personnel, their immediate family members, and to members of the public who are victims of a crime or accident.
* In the absence of the Master of Divinity must have one of the following:
* Must be a high school graduate or equivalent G.E.D with 10 years of full-time ministry experience.
* B.A Degree in Philosophy or related field with 5 years of full-time ministry experience
* Must be ordained or equivalent in a faith group recognized by the U.S Military.
* Must possess a valid driver's license.
* Must possess expertise in the fields of theology, psychology, and group and family dynamics.
* Ability to relate personally with people with a wide range of varying backgrounds.
* Ability to work with people regardless of religious affiliation.
* Ability to work under pressure and successfully function in a stressful environment.
* Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
* Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
* Must be able to minister to the needs of Department personnel and/or their families.
