Natalie Beatley joined ILEA in 2026 and is a graduate of ILEA class 98-134. She retired from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department in 2023 after 25 years of service. During her career she worked several positions including East District Detective, Domestic Violence Investigator, as an academy staff instructor with the IMPD Training Academy, and as a full-time instructor with the IMPD Firearms Unit.
Natalie maintained her Indiana Law Enforcement Academy General Instructor Certification since 2004 and holds a firearms instructor certification.
Following her retirement from IMPD, Natalie taught Criminal Justice at the secondary level and served as an adjunct Criminal Justice Professor in higher education before joining the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. She holds an Associate of Science degree in Criminal Justice and brings extensive instructional experience to the classroom.
