Linda White - Staff Instructor

Linda White graduated from University of Indianapolis with a Legal Assistant degree but continued her studies in Criminal Justice, while she worked for the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office as a paralegal.  In November 1992, Linda became the first female officer with the Beech Grove Police Department in Beech Grove, IN.   Linda attended the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy and graduated with class 93-112. Linda worked all three shifts in road patrol while with BGPD.

In March 1998, Linda was hired by the Marion County Sheriff’s department that merged with the Indianapolis Police Department in 2007, becoming the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.  Linda worked in the law enforcement division and then transferred to Investigations where she remained the last twenty years of her 24 years before retiring in 2022. Linda worked as a Sex Crimes detective, Internal Affairs detective and ended her career as a detective in Domestic Violence.

After retiring in March 2022, Linda went back to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office as a full time instructor at the training academy until she left and became a full time instructor at the ILEA.

Linda became an instructor through ILEA in 2003.  Linda worked her way through three different schools and became an Advanced EVO Instructor and has 20 years in EVO.  Linda is a STOPS (Strategies & Tactics of Patrol Stops) and BLS (Basic Life Support) Instructor.

When Linda is away from the academy, time is spent with her husband and one adult son and family.
