When will it be operational?
We hope to have the programming done by end of January 2016, with items added thereafter.
How do I participate?
Go to this page on the IBC website, http://www.in.gov/ibc/3364.htm, and fill out the application form. It is simple and easy!
The Marketplace is open to companies and artisans whose business is located in Indiana and are manufacturing, creating or producing items in the state.
What kinds of items are appropriate?
Shirts, bumper stickers, decals, key tags, coffee mugs, hats, license plates, jewelry, are all items that have been suggested. Items must be Indiana or Bicentennial themed, and not lewd, suggestive, or alienating. Items selected for inclusion in the Marketplace can carry the official logo of the Bicentennial, and may use a Bicentennial Marketplace seal on tags or other branding.
What does it cost?
Nothing! There is no charge to participate in the Bicentennial Marketplace. This free-market opportunity is a special project of the Bicentennial, and the IBC’s way of helping Hoosiers shop with Hoosier businesses. We do ask that sellers consider contributing 5% of profit on Bicentennial Marketplace items to local Bicentennial Legacy Projects.
What if I am a buyer?
If you go to the Marketplace page, you can see the items that are offered for sale. If you are interested in a product you do not see listed, you can share that information with IBC staff via e-mail. We will post that information on the “Items wanted” link, so companies around the state can see the feedback.
What is the fine print?
The IBC and its staff does not endorse any company or product presented in the Bicentennials Marketplace, nor does it make any claims or warranty of merchantability or suitability for any need specific or general. All transactions are between the vendor and the purchaser. The IBC retains the right to refuse any item for inclusion in the Marketplace at its sole discretion, or to remove any item or vendor at any time.
