Lodge & Patio Rooms

Abe Martin Lodge offers 84 lodge and 6 patio rooms.

These rooms are furnished with either a king bed (accessible versions available) or two queen beds. Patio rooms are ground level and door opens onto a delightful outdoor patio.

Cabin Suites

We offer 12 spacious and comfortable suites furnished year-round with a mini refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, television, and phone. These rooms are furnished with two queen beds and one sofa hide-a-bed.

Family Cabins

Our two-story family cabins feature two upstairs bedrooms (one king and one queen bed). A balcony oversees a full kitchen and living room, complete with a wood-burning stove. The cabins can comfortably accommodate eight people and include two sleeper sofas in the living room. Each cabin has a deck overlooking the woods and they are available all year. Please note that there is a two-night minimum stay on weekends.

Rustic Cabins

Surrounding the main lodge are our rustic cabins, available April 1 - Oct. 31. All rustic cabins are air-conditioned, heated, and have their own private bathroom and shower. The rustic cabins are furnished with one double bed, a double bed and a twin bed, or two double beds.

    Abe Martin Lodge is located just minutes from Nashville, Indiana. Known as the place where nature and artists meet in the midwest, Nashville is a mecca for those who love arts, crafts, and antiques. Nashville has more than 350 shops and attractions, with most of them within a few blocks of the downtown area. Enjoy private tours of artist’s studios, live entertainment, or take a wine tasting tour at one of the town's noted wineries. Some days, you can even spot an artist painting their canvas on the sidewalks of Nashville.

    Within Brown County State Park:

    • Largest state park in Indiana consisting of nearly 16,000 acres.
    • Twelve scenic walking trails ranging from easy to rugged with the longest trail at 3.5 miles in duration. A paved wheelchair-accessible trail is available.
    • Mountain biking trails. nine miles of trails that wind around hills, ravines, and across streams. Great for hikers or bikers.
    • Camp Store offers camping and picnic supplies, firewood, and souvenirs. Open April through October.
    • The park has two lakes to enjoy fishing, Ogle and Strahl lakes. State licenses are required and are available at the park office. Rowboats are permitted on Ogle Lake only.
    • Saddle Bar offers two different trails, ranging from 2.2 miles to 3.3 miles. Pony rides are available for children 8 and under. Weekend hayrides are available during the summer and fall.
    • Horseman’s Camp has facilities for those who wish to bring their own horses and stay the weekend. There are several horse trails available to enjoy. Horse tags required.
    • Nature Center has scheduled programs and events for all ages.
    • Picnic areas include tables, grills, toilet facilities, playground equipment, and playing fields.
    • Shelter houses in a variety of sizes and locations, including one with an indoor restroom and some with fireplaces.
    • Olympic size swimming pool is open Memorial Day through Labor Day, with a bathhouse and snack bar. Fee applies.
    • Lighted tennis court.
    • The state park north entrance is the oldest and the only double covered bridge in the state. Built in 1804 and moved to Brown County in 1838, it is a true historic beauty.
    • Ogle Hollow Nature Preserve contains an attractive self-guiding nature trail, which describes natural aspects of the park.

    Within five miles from the lodge:

    • Shopping, museums, and galleries in historic downtown Nashville.
    • Brown County Historical Society: Pioneer Village, Museum, log jail, and century old doctor’s office.
    • Chateau Thomas Winery: For the discriminating wine enthusiast, complimentary wine tasting, international award-winning wines.
    • Salt Creek Golf Course: PGA certified course includes a putting range, a snack shop, and restaurant.
