How do I register to vote?
The deadline to register to vote for the 2024 General Election is October 7th, 2024. To register, you may:
- ONLINE - Register to vote online by visiting www.indianavoters.com. Indiana residents with a valid Indiana driver's license or Indiana state-issued identification card will be able to use this tool to submit a new. Voter registration application or to update an existing voter registration record.
- MAIL - To register to vote or update your current registration by mail, you will need to complete and return the Voter Registration Form on or before October 7th, 2024 to:

- IN-PERSON -You can also apply in person at the Voter Registration Office (120 E Mulberry St., Room 100, Kokomo IN 46901, Phone: (765)-456-2219), at any BMV license branch if you are conducting a "credential transaction" (such as obtaining a driver's license, permit, or identification card), or at a public assistance office if you are applying for service or assistance.
How do I request an Absentee Ballot?
The following are ways you may request an absentee ballot:
- ONLINE - Request an absentee ballot online by visiting www.indianavoters.com and click on the tab "Vote by Mail or Travel Board". Complete the application, and once it has been processed, a ballot will then be mailed to you.
- Phone - You may contact the Absentee Office at (765) 614-3220 to request an absentee ballot application. The application will be mailed to you. Once the application is completed, it is to be returned to the absentee office for processing. Once it has been processed, a ballot will be mailed to you.
- IN-PERSON - You can also apply in person. Come to the Absentee Office at 120 E Mulberry St, Room 102 to complete an absentee ballot application. We will then process the application, and a ballot will be mailed to you the next day.

Interested in Becoming a Poll Worker?
Requirements to Participate:
- You must be a registered voter and a resident of the county in which you wish to work.
- You must be at least 18 years old*
*16 & 17 year-old Poll Worker Program: 16 & 17 year olds can work the polls. Please call your county election administrator for more information. You can also visit in.gov/sos for more information about Indiana youth programs. - You cannot serve as a poll worker in a precinct if:
a. You are related to an opposed candidate on the ballot.
b. You are a candidate on the ballot, unless you are an unopposed candidate for precinct committeeman or state convention delegate. - You must be able to read, write, and speak the English language.
Things to Remember
You will need to declare your political party preference in order to work on Election Day. Polling places are staffed by the two major political parties.
