Detective Lieutenant Ogden runs the Criminal Investigations Division, making sure the department’s investigations go smoothly. He also works as a Hostage/Crisis Negotiator, using special skills to handle tense situations and keep everyone safe. As the Sex Offender Registry Coordinator, he keeps the registry accurate and up-to-date, meeting legal requirements and providing important information to the public.Lieutenant Ogden also leads cryptocurrency investigations, using advanced blockchain analysis to track illicit financial activities and combat cybercrime.

In addition to his investigative duties, Lieutenant Ogden plays a vital role in the department's public communication efforts. He works closely with Sheriff Del Garcia to enhance the department’s community outreach, utilizing social media to engage with the public and foster trust. Dayshift Patrol Lieutenant Jared Rice leads his team in managing both everyday patrol duties and high-pressure situations. As part of the Emergency Response Team (ERT), he plays a key role in handling critical incidents, such as tactical operations and crises, ensuring officers are prepared to respond quickly and effectively to keep the community safe.

Lieutenant Rice also contributes to accident investigations through his work with the Accident Reconstruction Team, where he helps analyze crashes to determine what happened and provide clear reports for investigations. In addition, he trains officers as an Emergency Vehicle Operations Instructor, teaching advanced driving skills to ensure they can respond safely and effectively during emergencies. His roles reflect his dedication to public safety and helping his team grow professionally.
