Centurion Arms Armorers course
Centurion Arms is offering a depot level armorer school covering AR-15/AR10-family of weapons. The course will be taught for Centurion Arms by Chris Bartocci from Small Arms Solutions with nearly 40 years of experience.
The course will cover in detail:
* Description, nomenclature and variations of the platform and variations
* Proper loading and unloading. Immediate action for clearing malfunctions.
* Ammunition explanation and effects on performance.
* Field strip, cleaning and lubrication.
* Cycle of Operations
* Magazines
* Inspection and function check
* Detail Disassembly and description of all components
* Reassembly. This includes torque specifications and Mil-Spec procedures.
* This process is repeated several time for student familiarity.
* Trouble shooting and the process to understand what a malfunction is and what components are responsible to know what to fix.
* While at lunch, instructor will modify firearms with malfunctions. Students will do a detail inspection and look for what is wrong. (If possible, this is done on a firing range)
* Final exam includes detail disassembly and reassembly with instructor approval. Final exam is open manual.
Details:

2. Must me Law Enforcement
3. Cost is $450 per student which includes armorer manual.
4. Student must bring their own rifle for the class. Must be ab AR-type design. May be internal or external piston. Can have 9mm but not preferred. Whatever your duty weapon may be. This class will cover any manufacturer for most part.
5. Bring cleaning kit with proper solvent and CLP (G96, Slick2000..)
6. Students are required to bring their own armorer tools.

Chris Bartocci is a leader in the firearms industry with 35+ year career. Chris is former US Army, 10 years as a Forensic Firearms Examiner, worked for Colt Defense, Otis Technology LMT and has consulted for many industry leaders such as ArmaLite, LWRCI, Centurion Arms, American Tactical, Diamondback Firearms, M+M Firearms, Core Rifle Systems and consulted for Picatinny Arsenal to name a few. Conducted international and domestic armorer’s courses on the AR15/M16/M4 family of weapons and grenade launchers for military and law enforcement for Colt, LMT and Small Arms Solutions. Also, for different companies attended trade shows, weapon testing and other weapon related issues throughout the globe in 31 countries. Very large part of Chris’s work is writing. He has written armorer, operator and technical manuals for various companies including Colt, LMT and LWRCI. He is an accomplished author with over 200 publications in the AFTE Journal, Small Arms Review, Small Arms Defense Journal, American Rifleman, Shooting Illustrated and others regarding modern military/LE small arms. Power In Peers© is a standardized curriculum in peer support designed by law enforcement for law enforcement. The course provides a national certification and is considered to be a comprehensive course for both beginners and those with previous peer support experience.
Course Overview
This course will train active and retired members of law enforcement, as well as civilian support staff and mental health clinicians, to assist and support peer officers with managing stress related not only to their duties as law enforcement officers, but also with stress related to life outside the scope of the job. While trained peer support services are most likely to be sought out following a critical incident, course participants will be equipped to assist fellow officers with managing everyday stressors related to life as a law enforcement professional. Thus, this course contains post-critical incident skills development but also focuses on active listening skills as well as concepts from the field of Positive Psychology which focus on the development of individual strengths of the supported officer. This course is intended to increase the skill level and number of trained peer supporters among members of the law enforcement profession. In addition, it will create a national standard for trained peer support in peer support and provides the student with access to a nationwide network of trained mentors.
Target Audience
Active or retired sworn law enforcement officers, civilian staff employed by a law enforcement agency, police chaplains, mental health clinicians serving law enforcement populations. Participants will need some peer support experience. Class size limited to maximum of 25 students. Agencies/Organizations are limited to no more than 4 students.

*Examine a modified San Jose scoring system

*Understand the basic concepts of field training
* Know the standard evaluation guidelines
* Cover the ways to properly document performance
* Exam current ethical issues in policing
* Identify strengths and challenges with Gen Z/millennial officers
