DDARS supports older adults and individuals with disabilities and their families through person-centered, community-driven initiatives. This page highlights key programs, both current and upcoming, that promote independence, meaningful support and opportunity.

Charting the LifeCourse

Charting the LifeCourse (CtLC) is a nationally recognized framework designed to help individuals and families create a vision for a fulfilling life. It encourages planning, decision-making and access to supports across all stages and abilities. CtLC promotes high expectations, values lived experiences and helps people move toward their goals with the right mix of personal, community and paid supports.

Competitive Integrated Employment

The Competitive Integrated Employment (CIE) initiative is dedicated to expanding access to meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. By promoting inclusive workplaces where employees earn competitive wages and work alongside colleagues without disabilities, the initiative supports personal independence, community involvement and economic self-sufficiency.

Waiver Reset

The Waiver Reset is a multi-year effort to modernize Indiana’s home- and community-based services for individuals with disabilities. In partnership with stakeholders with the Human Services Research Institute, this project focuses on improving flexibility, person-centered planning and access to meaningful supports.
