Education Scholarship Account

The ESA application for the 2026-27 school year will run from March 1 to September 1, 2026, with the priority access window running from March 1 - April 15. The priority access window gives enrollment priority to students with disabilities who were funded in the previous school year, followed by students with disabilities and their siblings, on a first-come, first-served basis.

• Common Eligibility Determination Requests
  • Subscriptions: Eligible if sold by approved vendors in ClassWallet Marketplace.
  • Parent reimbursement: Allowed under Direct Pay rules with proper documentation.
  • Parent coaching services: Eligible if categorized under tutoring or paraprofessional services.
  • Field trips: Eligible only if instructional and invoiced, per policy.
  • Online school/courses: Full-time online schools are excluded; individual courses may qualify if approved.
  • Electronics: Eligible only if listed under approved categories.
  • Marketplace vendors: Must be approved through ClassWallet.

  • ESA: August, October, December, February


• Invoice Information
  • 2025-26 Invoices: Invoices for the 2025-26 school year must be submitted to the Treasure of State by Friday, May 22, 11:59 PM. Please note that this date differs from what is stated in the INESA Handbook. No refunds will be processed after Friday, May 22, 11:59 PM for 2025-2026 school year.
  
  
  • 2026-27 Invoices: Invoices will be processed through ClassWallet according to the quarterly funding schedule.
  • DOE will follow the same process: vendors apply through Access Indiana and ClassWallet. Approvals will be communicated via email.
  • Current vendors remain approved under existing agreements. Renewal timelines will follow the same cycle.
