Meeting Information

The proposed schedule and agenda information below are subject to change based on the amount of material to be reviewed, the needs of the Committee and the availability of the proposed location. Notice will be posted on the Committee’s webpage before any Committee meeting pursuant to the requirements of the Indiana Open Door Law.

Following completion of the draft proposed rule, the Fire Prevention and Building Safety Commission will review the work of the Committee, make any necessary changes and begin the rule promulgation process.

Proposals for code change submissions to Introduction, Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, and Chapter 4 due March 13, 2024 at 5:00p.m. Eastern.

About the Electrical Code Update Committee

The Indiana Electrical Code Update Committee (the Committee) will review proposed amendments (proposals for code change) to the 2023 edition of the NFPA 70 National Electrical Code. All proposals for code change must be submitted on the proposal for code change form linked below. Paper or e-mail submissions will not be accepted. If no proposals for code change are received by the specified due date, the Committee can take action to adopt the model code without amendment as if a recommendation had been made to do so.
