Career Discovery Meetings (30 Minute Meetings)

House Enrolled Act (HEA) 1002-2023 states that students in grades 11 and 12 must meet for at least thirty (30) minutes, in person, with an approved postsecondary educational institution, intermediary, employer, or labor organization to discuss future career opportunities and their necessary education levels.

An intermediary, employer, or labor organization that is interested in conducting a Career Discovery Meeting can do so by completing this brief questionnaire. Additionally, this memo is a guide to these entities interested in conducting meetings.

This memo serves as a guide to schools, students, and others who work directly with students to help complete the Career Discovery Meeting successfully.

An up-to-date list of entities that have been approved for students to have a Career Discovery Meeting with can be found here.
