The Indiana Secured School Safety Grant program is an allocated state fund that provides matching grants to school corporations, accredited non-public schools, charter schools and coalitions of school corporations.

- Advance from the Indiana Common School Fund
If your school was previously approved for a matching grant from the Indiana Secured School Fund (established at Ind. Code 10-21-1-2), you may apply for an advance from the Indiana Common School Fund. Advances may be used to purchase equipment or make capital improvements needed to:
- restrict access to schools;
- expedite the notification of first responders; or
- improve school security.

- Indiana Family and Social Services Administration Grants
Visit the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) Division of Mental Health and Addiction for competitive funding opportunities, including information on bidder meetings, proposal request amendments, timelines, due dates and responses to questions. Interested applicants are encouraged to check the FSSA website regularly as proposal requests are posted as they arise and will vary over the year.

The School Safe Haven matching grant program helps schools carry out bullying prevention programs to create safe environments where students are able to learn and thrive.

- School Violence Prevention Program
The Students, Teachers, and Officers Preventing School Violence Act of 2018 (STOP School Violence Act of 2018) gave the COPS Office authority to provide awards directly to States, units of local government, or Indian tribes to improve security at schools and on school grounds in the jurisdiction of the grantee through evidence-based school safety programs and technology.

The U.S. Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) provides formula grants, discretionary grants, earmark funding and funding for payment programs to support state, local, tribal and community efforts to build safe communities.
