Community Development Block Grant Program

Rural communities have many pressing needs that require additional financial assistance. Through the Office of Community and Rural Affairs, the State of Indiana distributes federal funds to help with a variety of projects including water infrastructure, public facilities, blight clearance, Main Street revitalization and more. CDBG funds help Hoosier communities improve quality of life and ensure the health and safety of residents. Find out how CDBG can support your community’s vitality through our grant programs.

Visit OCRA’s 2024 Calendar for important round opening information, grant deadlines, and Grant Administrator trainings.

Grant Administrators can work on CDBG applications in the electronic Grants Management System.
