Our Model of Service to the Lt. Governor's Family of Business
As the Secretary of Agriculture & Rural Development and the Governor's Designee, the Lt. Governor oversees the Indiana State Department of Agriculture (ISDA) and the Office of Community & Rural Affairs (OCRA). The Lt. Governor's Office takes its duties and responsibilities to these agencies seriously and understands that its success in creating a more prosperous, and sustainable quality of life can only be achieved when its agencies excel in achieving their missions.
Being uniquely situated within the Lt. Governor's Office, we have adopted a centralized model of handling general administrative and operational functions for the FOB. In doing so, we are able to eliminate redundancies and inefficiencies in routine processes and procedures. This also helps mitigate the risk of noncompliance or errors for the FOB.
Being housed within the same office suite, the Central Business Office collaborates with the ISDA and OCRA daily. The LGCBO provides contract management, procurement services, and accounting services to all three agencies. The Division of Grant Services also provides grants administration, program management support, regulatory/policy compliance, and technical assistance for the ISDA and OCRA.
