Central Business Office

Welcome!

The Lt. Governor's Central Business Office (LGCBO) is the administrative/operations arm of the Lt. Governor's Office and provides support to the Lt. Governor's Family of Business (LGFOB). The LGCBO is tasked with providing administrative and operational support to the LGFOB so that its sister agencies can focus on effectively and efficiently delivering much needed programming and services to Hoosiers across the State of Indiana.

Our Model of Service to the LGFOBFOB tree

As the Secretary of Agriculture & Rural Development and the Governor's Designee, the Lt. Governor oversees the Indiana State Department of Agriculture (ISDA), the Indiana Housing & Community Development Authority (IHCDA), the Office of Community & Rural Affairs (OCRA), and the Indiana Destination Development Corporation (IDDC) - formerly the Indiana Office of Tourism Development. The Lt. Governor's Office takes its duties and responsibilities to these agencies seriously and understands that its success in creating a more prosperous, and sustainable quality of life can only be achieved when its agencies excel in achieving their missions.

Being uniquely situated within the Lt. Governor's Office, we have adopted a centralized model of handling general administrative and operational functions for the FOB. In doing so, we are able to eliminate redundancies and inefficiencies in routine processes and procedures. This also helps mitigate the risk of noncompliance or errors for the FOB.

Being housed within the same office suite, the Central Business Office collaborates with the ISDA, OCRA, and IDDC daily. The LGCBO provides contract management, procurement services, and accounting services to all three agencies. The Division of Grant Services also provides grants administration, program management, and regulatory policy compliance for the ISDA and OCRA. Grant Services also provides limited grants admin and program/policy compliance and technical assistance to the IHCDA and IDDC on an ad hoc basis.
