Certification Applications and Processes
Qualifications for Certification
To qualify as a minority, women or veteran owned business, a firm must be 51 percent owned by qualifying minorities, women and veterans who:
- Possess expertise in the field
- Control the business enterprise
- Are U.S. citizens
Qualifying minority groups include Blacks, Native Americans, Latino/Hispanics, Pacific Asians, and Subcontinent Asians.
Certification Webinar
For new MBE/WBE/IVOSB applicants, free training is available via our Certification Webinars every other third Wednesday of the month at 1:00 p.m. EST.
Confidentiality
Applications for certification are deemed confidential under Indiana Code Section 4-13-16.5-7.
