This project will house Purdue Extension and Soil & Water Conservation staff. The new facility will be an approximately 10,700 gsf, single story building located on a parcel of land owned by Lake County at the main county government complex in Crown Point. The site is to be completed in November and will include an orchard, garden, wetland, bio-swales and a water restoration pond on grounds that cover 4 acres. Recognized as a bicentennial project inside the government complex, it will provide hands-on learning for kids to leave a legacy.
