Legacy Projects > Liberty & Prosperity Bicentennial Torch Sculpture Liberty & Prosperity Bicentennial Torch Sculpture

David Bathe, Ivy Tech Community College Lafayette and Kokomo chancellor, will dedicate the Liberty and Prosperity Bicentennial Torch Sculpture in October 2016 at the Lafayette Campus. This outside memorial sculpture will be a metal replica of the Tippecanoe County Bicentennial Torch that will be carried by the bearers during the Indiana Bicentennial Torch Relay through Tippecanoe County The sculpture will be designed and constructed by the School of Technology’s Welding Program students under the supervision of the program chair as a service learning/community engagement project.
