The American Legion building was originally erected and named after Charles Quigle and Tuck Palin, two young men from Newtown killed in the line of duty during World War II. The town council has been renovating the building to be re-opened as a community center and museum of town memorabilia. The Quigle-Palin Community Center will be available to the public for use as a gathering place for families, meetings and town celebrations. In August the town plans to re-open the center with a celebration of Indiana’s birthday.
