Legacy Projects > Madison Railroads - 1912 Railroad Car Renamed “Legacy” Madison Railroads - 1912 Railroad Car Renamed “Legacy”

Madison Railroad is dedicating their 1912 railroad business car during the September 16th torch relay, which will be carried through Jefferson County via the train. The car will be officially renamed “Legacy”. The train will be pulled by the last locomotive used at Kennedy Space Center for the Space Shuttle Program. This will mark 180 years to the day that construction on Indiana’s first operating railroad began in North Madison.
