BEST is a project bringing history, storytelling, and art together for elementary students. Students in grades one through five in our public school as well as home school groups and parochial schools will contribute to the project. Each classroom will receive a 12 x 12 inch scratch block, handmade from sand and glue. They will then scratch a design, created by a local artist, into the block. When completed, staff from Sculpture Trails Outdoor Museum will pour the blocks with aluminum and the cast aluminum pieces will be displayed as one big sculpture in the Greene County Community Event Center. The artwork will combine multiple images that overlap and represent the rich cultural and architectural highlights of Greene County.
