Washington Carnegie Public Library will offer the 200 Book Challenge during 2016 to celebrate Indiana’s Bicentennial. This reading challenge will promote literacy, knowledge and personal growth. The book challenge list will feature Indiana authors of past and present and highlight Indiana themes. The book challenge will engage and inspire citizens in grades 1-12 and adults to learn more about the deep literacy heritage of Indiana. Our culturally diverse community will be encouraged to become a united citizenry through education, literature and common ground.
