This is an open house event that includes a tour, education about alpacas and their fiber, fiber demonstrations and various fun activities for children. Visitors get to see and interact with alpacas and chickens while learning about them. This farm was established by James Brown, for whom the town of Brownsburg is named. Several of the buildings on the property date to the 19th century. Based on research, the history of the area will be explained, including discussion of the Land Grant of 182, which enabled Mr. Brown, a veteran of the War of 1812, to obtain this land.
