Legacy Projects > History Day History Day

The Miami County Indiana Bicentennial Committee will produce a History Day on the Courthouse Square on Saturday, October 1st, 2016. We chose that date to help fire up the county to see the Torch Relay. The Peru Public Library and our Kinder music teacher, Nancy Spahr, will provide children’s activities for ages 5 through 12. The family activities will include free crafts, games and music. We will be hosting Miami Indian drum dancing, performers from our Youth Circus, period food, food from favorite restaurants long closed, Cole Porter’s favorite fudge and historic re-enactors.
