The Hog Daze Motorcycle Rally is a historical celebration of the original Marion International Motorcycle Race held in 1919 and again in 1920. In 1920, Ray Weishaar, the winner, was given a piglet by a local farmer. He made a victory lap of the 5 mile course with the piglet as a passenger. From that point on the Harley-Davidson team began to be referred to as the “Hog Boys”. The name stuck as a description of Harley-Davidson motorcycles thus forever making Marion, Indiana the “Home of the Hog”.
