The Jennings County Monarch/Pollinator Project will involve creating and planting 12 Monarch way station Gardens throughout Jennings County. Gardens will be designed, created, planted and maintained by students, teachers and volunteers on school grounds, public parks and in common areas. This project is designed to create a “hands-on” experience for youth to observe though a living laboratory, the importance of Monarchs and pollinators in our environment and in the food production process. Each garden will have a minimum of 2 milkweed species, and a variety of other pollinator friendly plants.
