A series of articles available for biweekly publication that tells the story of the 100 most significant events/figures/ideas in Indiana history with “links” to cultural and geographic sites that best illustrate them.
The series consists of 100 “mini-essays” designed to promote Indiana history during the Bicentennial period. Each essay will be in the 400-450 word range and distributed for newspaper publication and made available online. Essays are designed to be highly readable by older children and adults and will appear in chronological order, beginning with the impact of the Ice Age on Indiana and ending with the legacy of the Bicentennial itself.
