Cope Environmental Center: Host, Bicentennial Nature Center Network (BNCN) draws on the impact of hosting and being a member of a state-wide nature center coalition, while combining these efforts with the strength and depth of local project impact. Partnering with 14+ nature centers state-wide, Cope Environmental Center contributes to the development of the state-wide BNCN, supports the Children of Indiana Bicentennial Park (CIBP) environmental education program; and develops a local environmental and child-focused bicentennial celebration. By focusing on Indiana’s youth and young adults, the Cope Environmental Center and the BNCN are creating an environmental legacy for the future; engaging Hoosier children as stakeholders now and shaping a generation that supports environmental education and conservation.
