The Elkhart County 4-H Fair is an annual summer event celebrating the community’s accomplishments as well as sharing educational and informational exhibits. In the year 2016, the Fair plans to showcase the 200th anniversary of statehood for Indiana with a variety of bicentennial-themed activities and displays throughout the fairgrounds.
The fair will showcase the best of what 200 years of statehood as represented by celebrating the accomplishments of our people, particularly our 4-H youth, while making know to all attending the fair that Indiana is celebrating a special occasion.
Activities include a giant scrapbook wall where the community would send in photos of themselves at the fair over the years, an actual birthday party, a bicentennial cookbook, bicentennial trivia contest, quilting bee and a plan to paint a bicentennial logo on the end of one of the barns.
