The interactive Heritage Group, Inc. provides a glimpse of the struggles faced by our ancestors that students and the general public can truly appreciate the historical presentations through the arts and entertainment venues. The 2016 Civil War premiere event will feature the July 21, 1861 Battle of First Manassas aka First Battle of Bull Run. Appearing this year will be Mike Marsh presenting his Gatlin Gun and his other guns for display. The Pokagon Long rifles will have their pre-1840 rendezvous camp that you can experience the daily life in a bygone era. Saturday night is the Civil War period dance where public participation is encouraged.
