Sweet Owen County Bicentennial Pageant
In the fall of 1916, Owentarians celebrated the centennial with a historical pageant about the founding of the county. A copy of the Centennial Pageant script still exists and can be found in the Indiana Room of the Owen County Public Library. Come watch the pageantry, the theatre, the comradery as we celebrate the rich and colorful history of Sweet Owen County. The Bicentennial Pageant will be performed at difference community venues around the county. The first performance is scheduled at McCormick’s Creek State Park’s amphitheater in June 2016, another will be held at the Historic Tivoli Theatre in Spencer.
