Acquisition of 143 acres of land located in western Vigo County.  The property primarily consists of reclaimed open pit coal mining land, including approximately 24 acres of freshwater forested shrub wetland and 28 acres in the flood plain of the Wabash River within the Healthy Rivers Initiative (HRI  Wabash River Conservation Area.  The site will increase public access to outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, trapping, boating and bird watching.
