Acquisition of a 1.3 mile corridor (formerly the Peoria and Eastern RR totaling 7.93 acres for the purpose of developing a trail. The trail corridor runs alongside Crawfordsville Road, a key gateway to Indianapolis. The SE terminus of the trail corridor links with the recently completed Main Street Speedway redevelopment project at the corner of Georgetown Road and 16th Street. Long-term plans include connecting this acquisition with the Eagle Creek Trail and the B&O Trail to create a loop within the Town of Speedway. This acquisition is located in Marion County.
