The Maternal Health Taskforce (MHTF) was established in 2023 and currently consists of approximately 50 Indiana health professionals within maternal health throughout the state as well as community members who provide expertise with pregnancy and postpartum through their personal experiences.
After reviewing maternal health data, the team identified gaps in care were used to create a maternal health strategic plan. The MHTF continues to assist the MCH program staff in implementing key objectives and strategies in effort to improve maternal health in Indiana.
