Discipline charges filed against former Franklin County judge

April 3, 2025 | Press Release

The Indiana Commission on Judicial Qualifications has filed disciplinary charges against former Franklin Circuit Court Judge J. Steven Cox. As of December 31, 2024, Cox no longer serves as judge. However, the commission’s charges, that Judge Cox failed to promote public confidence in the impartiality of the judiciary, stem from his time on the bench. Cox is permitted (but not required) to file an answer to the charges within 20 days.
